School is done, but there are still lots of fun ways you can add some español into your vacaciones!
1. Try to talk in español or espanglés with your friends or family. Try to have a short conversation all in Spanish each day, or just add as many Spanish words as you can into a conversation in English (or any other language you speak at home!). Practice counting, colors, the weather, animals, the days and months, fruits and vegetables, objects, actions, or anything else you know!
2. Corazón Scavenger Hunt: I hung up 20+ red hearts in the neighborhood around Runkle (mostly on Beacon, Dean Rd, and behind the school on Clinton) with words or messages in Spanish. How many can you find? You can also add your own for others to find! Here are some suggestions for things to write
3. Practice routines and games from Spanish class. You can be Profe and lead family members, toys, or stuffed animals in a clase de español en casa! Practice the Hola song, calendar and weather in Spanish. You an also practice any other songs, games, or activities you remember from class or remote learning. You can always scroll down to see all of our remote activities since March!
4. TV shows and videos en español (some links will open in YouTube, please check with your parents if you are allowed to go on YouTube on your own):
- Salsa episodes from PBS Georgia: A kids program made especially for kids learning Spanish!
- Netflix or Disney Plus: There are 500+ million people who speak Spanish in the world, so most movies and lots of popular shows get translated into Spanish. Netflix and Disney Plus (and other platforms) have options to change the audio language or add subtitles in a different language. Try changing to Spanish for part of a movie or show!

- Profes Playlist of Música Tranqui (Relaxing Music - opens on YouTube)
- Most music streaming apps like Spotify, iTunes or Google Play Music have lots of options in Spanish, usually listed in the "Latin" category. Here are some genres to search for: salsa, bachata, pop, tropical, vallenato, tango. Try some different ones out to find one you like!

¡Hola amigos! I miss you so much! I wish we could be together for our visits to EL MUNDO DEL ESPAÑOL, but for now we'll have to visit on our own from our houses!
DAY 1: Draw an avión to take you to EL MUNDO DEL ESPAÑOL. You can also decorate a 3D paper airplane if you know how to make one. Listen to some música en español while you draw! (the video is just music) |

DAY 2: Make a calendario for the month of marzo.
As you know, we start each visit to EL MUNDO DEL ESPAÑOL by looking at my calendar. Since my cart can't come to your house, you will have to make your own! You can draw on a piece of blank paper. Remember, there are 7 days in the week, so you need 7 spaces going across. If you have a printer at home, you can also print one with the file below. When you are done, draw a picture to go with the month of marzo. Listen to the música from Day 1 while you work!
